Snow Belt

Judy and I started getting ready for Christmas yesterday. Judy had me get the decorations out of the basement and we started by putting up the outside lights. We had about 3 inches of snow last week and it was still on the ground as we installed the lights on the front walkway.

Judy really gets into decorating...
Making sure Judy has a nice fire.
Just before dark ....
As soon as we finished the lights it started to snow and by the time we got up this morning we had an additional 6 1/2 inches of snow on the ground. We spent the morning digging out the driveway. Judy put most of her decorations in the great room the rest of the day and all I can say it's looking a lot like Christmas. At least here in Ortonville. Watching the news on TV only 20 miles south of here there is no snow on the ground. We appear to be in the lower Michigan snow belt.

This was the view off our back deck this morning.

Aren't we lucky !!!!!

Beautiful picture of your front walk- I wish I was there! I wished I was there for your traditional sticky buns also! It's a safe bet I'm going to wish that with every post!

We'll you certainly are lucky but it still doesn't entice me to Ortonville. Unlike Sara, that snow is definitely not a turn on. Now the sticky buns, that's another story. Hope you dig out enough to enjoy the holidays.
